Boscobel Man Drowns in Private Pond

A 21 year old rural Boscobel man has drowned in a private pond. Grant County Sheriff, Nate Dreckman, reports that just before 10:00 last night (Tuesday), the Grant County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a swimming incident at a private pond in the Township of Marion near the intersection of County Highway T. Aaron King, 21 of rural Boscobel, had been swimming the pond on a farm with friends. Aaron began to struggle to stay afloat. The other swimmers attempted to retrieve Aaron and bring him to shore, but were unsuccessful. The swimmers were able to flag down a passerby to notify the Grant County Communications Center. First responders attempted to locate Aaron, but were also initially unsuccessful. Aaron was recovered from the pond by members of the Boscobel and Rural Fire Department just after 11:00 last night (Tuesday).
