The Eau Claire site that had formerly hosted music festivals like Country Jam has been listed for sale with over 100 acres available.

County Jam, one of the most popular music festivals in the Chippewa Valley each year, was held at the Event District in Eau Claire for the first time in 2023. Before that, the event had been held on the newly listed Crescent Avenue land for decades. But now that the music festival has changed locations, the owners of the land say it’s time to move on.

The more than 100 acres of land will be sold in two separate parcels, one with just over 80 acres and one with just over 20 acres. According to a WEAU report, the owners of the land say it’s being sold separately because the larger parcel holding the stages and main festival is located on a flood plain. Due to its location, whoever purchases that portion of the land will not be able to build anything on it.

However, the smaller portion of the land up for sale is located on more stable ground and does not have the same building restrictions as the 80 acre portion. The owners also believe that part of the land has the potential to eventually be annexed into the City of Eau Claire.

The 80 acre portion of the land was listed for $1 million. The 20 acre portion of the land was listed for $500,000. The 2024 iteration of Country Jam was held in mid-July at the Event District in Eau Claire. The Event District also hosted a campaign rally for Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz earlier this month.
