APPLETON, WI – (WGBW & WISS) – The League of Women Voters of Appleton-Fox Cities is hosting a panel presentation on the state of reproductive healthcare in Wisconsin addressing the changes in the state following the 2022 Dobbs decision and other court rulings.
Panelists will include representatives from Planned Parenthood as well as local OB-GYN physicians.

Reproductive Healthcare Topic for October 7 League of Women Voters Webinar
APPLETON-FOX CITIES — Navigating reproductive and abortion care in Wisconsin since the 2022 Dobbs decision has hinged around an 1849 law, full abortion prohibition, and court rulings. On Monday, October 7, the League of Women Voters of Appleton-Fox Cities will host a panel presentation webinar to assess the current status of the issue.
The virtual webinar, “Reproductive Healthcare in Wisconsin,” will take place from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. on Zoom.
Featured speakers will include:
- Dr. Kathy King, Chief Medical Officer for Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin (PPWI)
- Michelle Velasquez, Chief Strategist for PPWI
- Dr. Anna Igler, a local OB-GYN physician
Moderating the discussion will be LWV of Wisconsin President Dorothy Skye, a retired OB-GYN physician. The panelists will participate in an informed, unscripted and compelling discussion of this important issue. Time will be allowed at the end for audience questions.
